For multiple decades throughout my career, I’ve been asked: “Hey Chef, what's your favorite meal?” Unilaterally, I respond that I love a huge salad. 

Salads can be crunchy. They can be soft. They can be herbaceous. They can be layered with animal or plant-based proteins. Salads are one of the most versatile food groups that we have and I often feel like they never get represented the way that the bone-in steak, or the crème brulee, or even popcorn and pizza does.

And so the next iteration of our Hungry Life Live Series is a pure and bountiful celebration of summer salads. We’re going to open up the pantry and get into the garden, in our continued quest to invite folks out into the places where our food is grown. 

In this summer session we'll explore three different salads, and the many methods and ingredients we can use to elevate them. A leafy type salad, a roasted root vegetable type salad, and then also gonna tackle a grain salad. 

 

These virtual gatherings are part conversation, part methodology, part demonstration, and an all-around good time. Sprinkled with tips, tricks, and techniques all along the way. 

Whether you want to gather loved ones and cook along or just watch for now and get your hands dirty later, I’d love to have you in my virtual kitchen.
